About Us

"Bringing the Chi" derived from Chicago natives Anton and Astrid Garrett who met in 1995. Anton grew up on the Westside of Chicago and Astrid grew up on the Southside of Chicago.

Chicago is very popular for their unique  style of hotdogs, which had become a staple in Anton and Astrid's relationship. Anton had developed a passion for preparing and serving food at social gatherings. Anton was employed at Gold Coast dogs. Anton enjoyed preparing meals for people and wanted to own a food truck to serve more customers.

Anton and his wife Astrid moved to Iowa where Anton still enjoyed preparing food and still wanted to own a food truck. They decided to build their own food truck and station it in Iowa. These Chicago natives are "Bringing the Chi" to Iowa and many more cities and states.
